Time to Sweat and Burn!

What’s your 30-minute weapon for today: Will you run? Walk for 30 minutes? Swim laps?

Weather: On the East Coast, the weather is lounging in the 70’s with at least a 20 percent chance of rain – a 30 percent chance in Baltimore, Maryland. If you happen to be in the central states however, there is a flood warning alert as the Weather channel predicts 70’s temperatures with a 90 percent chance of rain.

Sounds like it’s going to be a great day for outside exercise … at least for the east coast. I’m planning on ignoring that 30 percent chance of rain here in Baltimore and squeeze in a good training run today before I head off to work tonight. No rest for the weary for those of us preparing for 5ks, half and whole marathons in the next few months. But if you’re out there in the Central States, indoor exercising might be best. Heed those flood warnings! Perhaps Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown DVD might be a safe sweat and burn choice for today.

Doesn’t matter what you do; just get up and move for 30 minutes! Don’t forget to stretch for at least 10 minutes before you exercise and at least 10 minutes after. Feel free to increase your stretching time if need be.
